Unbiased quality control by way of audits through EFI, other external bodies, and customers ensures that all stages of all activities are of the highest standards. The Life Science Lab participates in round-robin tests conducted by the Instand e.V. and UCLA annually, in addition to inter-laboratory surveys such as the CMV test exchange. This is also achieved by a rigorous document life cycle, which curates and evaluates digital references, regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
All processes evolve and are subject to failure or errors. The Quality Assurance team enables active engagement with changes and failures through round-the-clock monitoring, a standardized change management system, and a flexible yet stringent CAPA (Corrective And Preventive Action) process. Adapting to change rapidly whilst also learning from our mistakes through clear communication strengthens the operational backbone of the DKMS Life Science Lab.
